Bob Bureau, B.A., M.Ed., CAGS, CCFE, CCFT created Resiliency Centers by discovering thousands of new strategies, leading groups, mentoring and teaching in-demand and highly-popular courses for 25 years. He has been an invited guest speaker in a wide range of settings for audiences as large as 2,000 people, and as small as just a few people. No group is too large or too small!
His professional interests include: stress, compassion fatigue, caregiver fatigue, second-hand trauma (or vicarious trauma), burnout, resiliency solutions, psychiatric rehabilitation, assistive technology, online learning, and the effective use of technology in a rapidly-changing, digital world. For ten years, he was Director of Online Graduate Studies, and was a faculty member in the Human Services Undergraduate Department, and the Rehabilitation Counseling Graduate Program, at Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts.
He completed intensive training led by Francoise Mathieu of Kingston, Ontario, Canada to become certified as a Compassion Fatigue Educator (the first person in New England to have do so). Bob went on for further training and was then Certified as a Compassion Fatigue Therapist by the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology. He has been a Futurist for 30 years and is an active member of the World Future Society. A curious learner by nature, he is a member of both Mensa (a well-known high IQ society), and the Prometheus Society (an ultra high IQ society).
His life-long passion was to create Resiliency Centers, and devote himself to being a Presenter and Facilitator at Meetings, Conferences, and Retreats. He also offers Consulting on a Variety of Topics, and enjoys Mentoring Rising Professionals in their Careers.
