Bob Bureau is a professional speaker, workshop facilitator, and resilience coach living in the heart of Massachusetts in the United States. Some of his strengths are helping people find a stronger sense of purpose, building a wider circle of friends outside of work, taking care of health concerns, deepening family relationships, giving back to their local community by volunteering, working part-time if desired, traveling, exercise, hobbies, and much more. Everyone has a unique portfolio of ways to spend their well-earned time and be happier in retirement. Bob can inspire you to explore and find what makes you more resilient and happier.
Bob Bureau, M.Ed., CAGS, CCFE, CCFT established Resiliency Solutions and Happier Retirement by finding and creating hundreds of highly effective solutions, leading workshops, and coaching individuals. For 35 years, he worked as a professional speaker in settings across the United States. Bob now travels exclusively in New England. An in-person workshop can be arranged in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, or Maine. Today, because of the widespread use of Zoom, he can also provide workshops to groups anywhere in the world without the time or expense of traveling.
Adjusting from up to 45 years of having a hectic career to suddenly stopping and retiring can be difficult. One of the biggest surprises people encounter in retirement is having so much unstructured time and not knowing what to do with it. Planning and getting brief, targeted, one-on-one help can be a real game-changer. Bob is focused on guiding you from where you are now to where you want to be. He does this as a short-term coach, not as a long-term therapist. Bob offers coaching via Zoom in 75-minute sessions. His ideal coaching clients are ready to Find Great Ideas, Take Action Now, and Be Happier.
He is naturally a curious learner, a member of Mensa (the best-known, high-IQ society), and a supporter of the ground-breaking Human Longevity Project. Bob joined TED Talks as a founding member of a unique community of thinkers and doers working towards a brighter future. He has had many wonderful mentors and career coaches over the past 45 years, including Janine Roberts, Paul Vasconcellos, Bailey Jackson, Mary Ellen Copeland, Daniel Fisher, Patricia Deegan, Kevin Bradley, Kaska Yawo, Mary Ann Bedick, Lee Pearson, Tom McCarthy, and Al Siebert, who was the world leader in the field of Resiliency.
He is devoted to volunteering and is an active member of many Advisory Boards, Boards of Directors, Commissions, and Boards of Trustees, including Center for Living and Working, Genesis Club, Accessibility Advisory Commission, African Community Education, and the Worcester Recovery Center & Hospital.
He completed intensive training led by Francoise Mathieu of Kingston, Ontario, Canada, to become certified as a Compassion Fatigue Educator. Bob went on for further training, getting certified as a Compassion Fatigue Therapist by the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology.
He was the Director of Online Graduate Programs for ten years at Assumption University in Worcester, Massachusetts. Bob was also a professor in their Rehabilitation Counseling Graduate Program and Human Services & Rehabilitation Studies Undergraduate Department. He has co-led three-day-long, interactive, small-group workshops on Resiliency for hundreds of Certified Rehabilitation Counselors working across New England.
Bob has improved the lives of countless individuals throughout his professional career and is respected as a caring, dedicated, and innovative leader in the fields of Resiliency and Retirement. If you would like to talk with him, contact Bob below.
